QR Codes Easily Adaptable In Quick Service Venues
QR Codes are quickly being adapted by the likes of McDonald's, Taco Bell Dariy Queen and Burger King. These fast food service restaurants are using the QR Code for a variety of reasons and providing scanners of the code everything from information on nutritional value of their products to promotions, and even providing an opportunity to donate to great causes.
Fast Food QR Codes with Taco Bell 12 Pack
Taco Bell recently ran their Taco 12 Pack promotion where the box which contained the 12 tacos had a special QR Code which lead scanners to obtain exclusive ESPN Video content and game analysis. The campaign was advertised two weeks prior to the BCS championship game through television, radio and in store promotion. Supported by Taco Bell's social media including Facebook and Twitter, the commercial was also featured on Facebook.
Using QR Codes for Mobile Donations
Dairy Queen recently used QR Codes on their Blizzard cups during its Miracle Treat Day campaign to direct scanners of the code to a mobile donation site fir the Children's Miracle Network. The QR Code was linked to the Children's Miracle Network website where customers were able to obtain information on the program and donate to the cause.

In addition to the website connection, Dairy Queen's Facebook and Twitter pages were also accessed through the QR Code.
